Shiraume-Seishu's School Faetures

1. Learning Circumstances
At Seishu, students are able to concentrate on studying and lead a safe, enjoyable school life. Going to Seishu Junior High School every morning is exhilarating as you hear the Josui stream and breathe fresh air along the green path.

2. Moral Education
Seishu's vision is to provide for maturing young ladies who behave in a decent and dignified manner. Therefore, teachers are attentive to students' behavior and speech. Cleaning and reading time will provide them with an important chance to discipline their minds and teach them responsibility.

3. Career Projects
In order for ladies to cultivate their minds and make their dreams come true at University, they must first pass university exams. These university exams can be a difficult barrier for those who are not prepared. Therefore, Seishu School will strive to be the top academic school in the Tokyo area. By the end of the second year of study at Seishu High School, the required curriculum necessary to pass the Center Exam will be covered. Moreover, we expect that Seishu students will be able to study, not only in Japanese universities, but in foreign universities also.

4. Fundamental Learning
We have reached the age when women can proceed to any area of professional development. For instance, the number of women who advance to medical schools now compared to fifty years ago is astonishing. Seishu students will acquire important fundamental knowledge and required skills through their first and second years of the Seishu Junior High School curriculum, with a keen focus on learning math, English and Japanese literature as basic subjects.

5. Class Design
Each class is equipped with projectors and large screens. Every class will have the ability to use dynamic movies and pictures so that Seishu students can develop their intellectual curiosity. Each class is well designed to enable the students to focus on their learning.

6. Extra-curricular Activities
Seishu has Extra-Curricular activities called "Area Collaboration." This is a special program after school in which specialists from educational institutes and colleges nearby teach Seishu students, instead of regular teachers, the academic knowledge and activities through Aerobics, Tennis, Art Craft , English Salon, Stringed Music and Japanese traditional arts such as Tea Ceremony and Igo. Students can participate in any activity they want to and then brush up their skills and senses which will develop their knowledge and awareness of culture.

7. Studying with students from all over the world
When in junior high school, Seishu students will participate in an English summer school program and have a great time, living in the dormitory, learning genuine English with students from all over the world. They will learn not only in the classroom, but use English in real social situations, such as playing sports together. In high school, they will visit France and Germany, where students can see first-hand these countries that have such a rich history and that are now playing a central role in the EU. They will study history, literature, the arts, agriculture and the environment through an experience that will leave a life long impression on their hearts and minds.

8. New teachers & New Education
To provide the best possible education in this newly established school, Shiraume Gakuen calls on full-time teachers with commendable experience, who will be leaders full of passion. Teachers promise the students and their parents that they will behave as their role models, and submit to an open "Compliance Policy" for Seishu teachers' attitudes and regulations, in order to maintain and enhance a quality educational atmosphere.
